Sir Keir Rodney Starmer KCB KC is a British politician serving as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since July 2024. He has been the Leader of the Labour Party since 2020.

Born in London and raised in Surrey, Starmer worked as a barrister specializing in human rights law. He was appointed Director of Public Prosecutions and Head of the Crown Prosecution Service in 2008.
